This is a 1997 Toyota Camroad Champ Model, produced in Japan. What is a Toyota Camroad? It is a Toyota Toyoace truck chassis permanently mated to a coach body for camping usage. These were sold by different manufacturers through Japan beginning in the late 1990s. This Champ model has many interesting and unique features. Featuring a fully molded fiberglass coach body, and refined interior designed to travel with up to 6 passengers on trips. There are seatbelts for 6. And sleeping accommodations for 4-6 adults, depending on size. The exterior only measures 16.5ft bumper to bumper, which means you can park anywhere a normal sized car can fit, barring your height. It is 9.9ft tall and 7ft wide on the exterior as well. Such a compact camper allows you to go almost anywhere. This Toyota is powered by the 2.8 Liter 3L diesel engine, mated to the more desirable and rare 5 speed manual transmission, with HI and LO range + selectable 4wd transfer case. Manually locking AISIN hubs up front, and a dash switch gives you full control over when you want to be in 4×4, or RWD. Insulated double paned windows, a generator prep package, Roof AC, and full wet bathroom, with cassette toilet and shower make this the ultimate get-away mobile, knowing that you’ll have most of the comforts of home with you wherever you may wander.
