Located in the historic Hudson Valley, halfway between Manhattan and Albany, the Stormville Flea Market hosts over 600 vendors from more than eight states six times a year, selling antiques, arts and crafts, and new merchandise.
With acres and acres of booths, it is no surprise that regulars call it a bargain hunter's delight. Newcomers are welcome and likely to make an exceptional find. From iconic handbags to dog treats (!) to the most exquisite fine china, the Stormville Flea Market is a treasure trove of collectibles.
Stormville Flea Market offers visitors a fun and family-friendly atmosphere. Find priceless antiques and handcrafted furniture while exploring the grounds of an abandoned airport. Hundreds of professional vendors and inventive food concessions are sure to pique your curiosity.
Operating since 1970 just off the beautiful winding Taconic State Parkway, the Stormville Flea Market is steeped in history, and with a little luck, you can meet one of the original vendors. This is the perfect place to soak up the charm of yesteryear while finding that pair of Elvis lamps you always wanted.
The Stormville Flea Market can only be described as huge. The old Stormville Airport is divided into two sections, with newer items on one side and the antique section on the other. What Disneyland is for kids, Stormville is for the flea market junkie. The antique section can vary in size, with more vendors generally present during the summer months. Be sure to look deep, as you are likely to find a diamond in the rough.
For all the foodies out there, the Stormville Flea Market also features a number of booths serving traditional hamburgers and hot dogs, spicy Philly cheesesteaks, freshly made kettle corn, and many other delicious snacks. No visit to the market is complete without a relaxing drink in The Rotary Club's cozy beer garden.
And to keep the whole family happy, there is a well-maintained children's activity area, complete with inflatable slides and bounce houses. There is a nominal charge for these, but the well-trained staff will make sure that parents and children enjoy their flea market experience to the fullest.
When traveling to the Stormville Flea Market, it is advisable to get there early. Arriving after 9 am will guarantee a long wait in traffic. Also, make sure you have enough cash, as not all vendors accept credit cards. Dealers often have other antiques in their car and no space to display them, so ask them if you like their collection.
If you're driving and the market times coincide, take the opportunity to visit the Elephant's Trunk Country Flea Market, which is only a 30-minute drive away. Be sure to check the opening days of the Elephant's Trunk Country Flea Market as it only operates on Sundays from April through December.

Reserving flights 8 to 9 months in advance helps me manage my airfare expenses. Even in the best of times, many of the markets I follow in France don't publish their plans that far in advance. Fleamapket provides the newest information, well before I can find it online.

Fun event for the thrifty shopper. While some vendors have tents, the event is entirely outdoors, so plan accordingly. Also, much of it is in grass or dirt, so wear comfortable athletic shoes that you don’t mind dirtying.

Stormville Flea Market is a great place to stroll and relive your past, while shopping for socks, tops and farm fresh produce. Plus a whole lot more, visitors should leave plenty of time for taking in all what the vendors have to offer. Feel free to barter it makes the day feel accomplished and bring a cart to carry back your treasures, if you forget one there will be a vendor to purchase one. Enjoy the day, grab a bite to eat and go home exercised.

Large flea market featuring lots of items. On a nice day can be hard getting in and out because of the traffic. There are several sections – new items, old/antique and a food section.
