Testimonials | JP Holley Funeral Home | Funeral Home Columbia, SC | Cremation | Bishopville, SC | St. Matthews, SC (2024)

We would like to thank the entire JPHolley staff for your wonderful services for my dad Lewis B. Whitener Jr "Bud" and a special shout out to Mrs. Felicia Woods from beginning to end you definitely made sure our family had everything we needed and we're forever grateful.

I have nothing but the highest praise for JP Holley and its entire staff.

My relationship started with JP Holley with a pre-plan, prior to needing their service. However, when I did, they were readily available to provide the logistics to transport my loved one's remains many states away to their funeral home. Then, step by step, even though virtually, the Funeral Director stayed in close contact to understand and coordinate my wishes. She overlooked nothing, customizing everything to my preferences and liking. Ultimately, my loved one was gently and meticulously attended, then presented as the Queen that she was; from her two viewings to her home-going celebration, to her actual burial.

Finally, I was very much impressed by the appearance of the entire male staff who presented themselves professionally and fully coordinated, top to bottom. It was quite obvious that this Funeral Home takes its mission quite seriously. SERVICE is stamped all over it. In fact, during one of our conversations, the Director shared that they consider what they do as a ministry. I couldn't agree more and fully endorse and recommend The JP Holley Funeral Home to you at the time when you will not only need but benefit from their service the most.

First I'd like to start off by saying that the staff at JP Holley Funeral Home NE location were absolutely great! This was the first time using their services after the loss of my beloved husband of 40 years. The staff was not only personable but gracious and comforting. The celebration of life for my husband was done with such integrity and class. The staff listened to what I wanted for my loved one and I wasn't pressured into anything more. I was completely satisfied with my decision to use JP Holley Funeral Home and you will be too. Much thanks to Ms Kym Hampton, Ms Brown and the rest of the staff.

JP Holley provided excellent service to our family (The McCants) from the beginning to the very end in reference to the homegoing of our beloved uncle Andrew McCants. He truly looked at peace. And, the service being held at JP Holley chapel was perfect.

On June 15, 2022 our beloved mother passed at the age of 99. JP Holley was her choice of funeral homes. We, her children, was given the task of carrying out her wishes. The process of preparing for the burial of your love one is stressful even if their death is anticipated and every detailed was planned in advance. Emotionally, it was a pleasant surprise to have the staff feed us spiritually and with compassion as well as professionally. The service and experience offered by the JP Holley Funeral Home Garners Ferry Road location staff was superior. The suggested wording and graphics to the funeral program made by the graphic designer, perfectly matched our mother’s personality. It was as if he knew her.

While there may have been a thing or two that did not go as planned or got omitted entirely, it did not take away from the beautiful service that we were able to have for our mother. Please accept our thanks for the devotion and kindness displayed toward our family, especially by Mrs. Woods.

I just must say Thank You for employees. They gave my mother(Ethel Hampton) the best home going service. They were attentive, cordial and very professional.

We can't be together, but God's Love is always with us.

The JP Holley Funeral Home provided excellent service to my mom who died in FL and was brought back to SC to her final resting place. During the holidays losing a love one is difficult, but they were professional and took the greatest care of my mother. As she lay there I stood by her because she looked so peaceful as she was sleep. Thank YOU. You did the final send-off just as she would have wanted - Hold to God's Unchanging Hand. My heart was happy, not as heavy. It was a JOYOUS Celebration of Life and I wish to thank the entire staff for their concern and top notch service!

Mike, gone too soon; however, My God makes no mistake. We love you but my God loves you best.Mom,siblings, aunt, uncle and family are waiting for you. What a time it will be when you get to HEAVEN. We solely miss you! REST IN PEACE

Good Afternoon, I am the daughter of the late Franklin Jones. His service was held today at your location. I would like to thank you for putting my dad away so nicely. I live in New York and was unable to travel to Columbia due to COVID-19. I was told that I would be able to view the service by Face Book live which it was viewed live however the only person we were able to see was Peggy Jones. The camera was set to view only her. Myself and many others family members and friends were under the impression that we would be able to view the entire service. We could hear the speakers as they spoke however we were unable to see their faces. This is only a suggestion, you may want to rearrange the camera so that a person who cannot attend a service could actually feel that they are included in the service. This was disappointing to me and my family members who were unable to attend but we are very grateful that we were able to hear the service. Again Thanks
