The Jack Hall Gang, a band of outlaws from yesteryear, left their stash of gold somewhere in or around New Hanover.

You can purchase the first map in this treasure hunt from Maximo, a treasure hunter you can meet after starting Chapter 2 near Flatneck Station. He will offer to sell you the map for $5 if you decline, or you can kill him and take it off of his body. If you fail to collect the map from Maximo, it can be purchased from a Fence later on.

Jack Hall Treasure Map 01

The first map to the Jack Hall Gang treasure can be purchased from Maximo, a treasure hunter found on the ridge overlooking the river north-west of Flatneck Station and north of Bard's Crossing, for $10.00.

The map depicts Caliban's Seat, a unique rock formation to the south of Valentine.

Scale the hill on the eastern side to reach the top.

Follow a path through the rocks from the top.

Move along the ledge, jumping across gaps and mantling over ledges, until you reach a large swath of white granite with a small hole in it.

You'll find the treasure - and another map - inside.

Jack Hall Treasure Map 02

The second map to the Jack Hall gang treasure is found by finding the stash from the first Jack Hall map.

The location depicted in the map is Cotorra Springs, just east of the dividing line between the E and W Grizzlies in Ambarino. This is also the location of a Legendary Wolf, so tread cautiously in this area.

Head to the west end of the springs area, where you'll find a small circle of unique rock formations.

The treasure stash is inside the central stack of rocks.

Jack Hall Treasure Map 03

Map number three leads you to the lake at O'Creagh's Run, just north of Three Sisters in the Grizzlies East region of Ambarino.

To get there, head directly north into the hills from Emerald Ranch.

You'll find the gang's treasure - two gold bars - under a rock on the small rocky island in the middle of the lake.

The High Stakes treasure can be started either during a random encounter out in the world, or later by purchasing a map from a fence if the player has missed the random encounter enough times.

High Stakes Treasure Map 1

To find the first of the High Stakes treasure maps, you'll need to keep an eye out for an older treasure hunter.

He won't willingly give up his map, so you'll need to either rob him at gunpoint, kill, or hogtie and then loot him. If those don't fit your fancy, just run into him hard enough and he will drop the map.

We've had the best luck spotting him at the top of a large rock to the north-east of Riggs Station, though he can also appear in various locations between Strawberry and Valentine.

Once you've collected the map, you'll find the first treasure stash at Cumberland Falls, west of Valentine.

Approach the base of the falls from the west, then swim across to the rocks on the south side of the falls.

You'll find a fallen tree allows you to get up to the side of the waterfall - climb up behind the falls to collect the stash and the next map.

High Stakes Treasure Map 2

The second High Stakes Treasure Map will lead you north, into the Grizzlies West.

This treasure stash is located above the frozen water of Barrow Lagoon, between Lake Isabelle and Widow Rock.

Head down onto the frozen lake and look for a tree bridging the ice-coated island and the rocky banks of the lagoon.

You'll find the treasure and the next map stashed in the knot of the log bridge.

High Stakes Treasure Map 3

This final High Stakes map will take you close to Fort Wallace.

It's on the large rock formation directly next to Ft Wallace to the north-east.

Ride along the path leading east around the front of the fort, then veer off to ride up the hill on the backside of the large rock face.

At the top you'll find a path leading down between the two peaks of the rock. Follow it down to the cliff side below and turn left.

Follow the ledge and then continue up the thin ramp that rises ahead of you, crouching to make your way around the corner.

There's a slight drop ahead of you - jump down, then turn around and drop to the next ledge down.

Jump across to the next ledge and crouch under the low overhang - you'll find three gold bars stashed in the rocks at the end of the overhang.

The Poisonous Trail is a unique set of treasure maps in that you cannot buy the starter map anywhere, nor will anyone tell you about it. Instead, you will have to stumble upon it in the wilderness, requiring you to journey across the lands in Read Dead 2.

Poisonous Trail Map 1

To locate the first map, head up to the West Grizzles where Chapter 1 of the game took place, and head southeast from the town of Colter you were holed up in to the small Cairn Lake.

Enter the Cairn Lake Lodge, and look under the bed for a lock box you can loot - which will contain the Poisonous Trail Map 1.

The Map features an iconic looking rock face that looks like a head, with a path leading to the right winding past trees to the treasure.

advertisem*nt

You'll find this geographical feature in the state of Lemoyne, North of Rhodes, and North of the Hill Haven Ranch along the road up in the Scarlett Meadows.

Look for the Face Rock on the left side of the road as you go northwest of Hill Haven Ranch.

Consult the map and go right from the rock face past a tree and down a slope.

Here you will see a withered tree trunk, and a fallen log behind it.

Search behind the withered tree trunk to find a hole at the base which you can inspect to find the next map piece.

Poisonous Trail Map 2

Upon finding the treasure map at the Face Rock in Scarlett Meadows, you will have your next clue. The map will feature a snake-like formation, and a mound with rocks where the treasure is located.

You can find this geoglyph in lower Roanoke Ridge in New Hanover, just to the west of the Van Horn Trading Post along the lower road going towards the Kamassa River.

Halfway along the road to the river past the train tracks, head south up the hill to find an abandoned tower you can climb.

At the top, look down on the hillside to spot the geoglyph of the snake, which Arthur will draw in his journal.

At the top of the hill is the circular end of the snake with a rocky mound in the middle.

Climb down into the mound and inspect the hole to get the next treasure map.

Poisonous Trail Map 3

The final map you find at the Snake Geoglyph points to the location of treasure in a hidden cave. The map depicts a waterfall with a passage behind it, and a secret tunnel off to the right leading to treasure.

advertisem*nt

Move north of the Snake Geoglyph up to the Elysian Pool in New Hanover's central Roanoke Ridge.

At the north end of the pool where the river empties out you will find a large waterfall.

Leave your horse behind and jump headfirst into the waterfall, where you'll find a secret passage into a large cave system on the other side.

As you move deeper past the initial cave tunnel, ignore the rest of the cave on the map, and look down on the right in the first large corridor for a small slope down to a pit.

At the bottom of the pit, check the wall on the right for a small hole to crawl through into a new area.

The next part has a crossroads with two paths - and by consulting your map you'll find that going right is the correct choice. You can also find an abandoned campsite here with a lock box that holds some valuables.

advertisem*nt

Moving past the campsite, you'll come out onto a ledge. Look to the left with your lantern to find a pit below you, and a lower ledge on the left that you must run to (tap the run button to build speed) and then jump across to land safely.

After landing on the lower ledge, look for a long slope on the other side to fall down to a dead end with some water, and a pile of rocks on the left.

Climb up and inspect the large rock pile to find at last the treasure of The Poisonous Trail - 4 Gold Bars, which sell for $500 a piece at your local Fence!

The Red Dead Redemption 2 Torn Treasure Maps are used to find the rare Otis Miller's Revolver.

To collect and use the Torn Treasure Maps you will have to locate and kill two unique Hermits that can be found in the world of Red Dead Redemption II. Each one contains one half of a treasure map that will lead to the unique pistol Otis Miller’s Revolver.

The order in which you collect the map halves does not matter. It will affect which map half is named "Torn Treasure Map 1" and "Torn Treasure Map 2" though.

Spoiler Warning: You cannot get the treasure maps lead until after the Epilogue. While you can get the map itself before then, it is best to just collect it all at the end of the game. Images may contain story spoilers.

Torn Treasure Map 1

The Male Hermit is found on the far eastern side of the map, north of the town Annesburg. Along the right-hand road north of Annesburg is Manito Glade. There you will find the hermit’s home surrounded by a fence and "Keep Out" signs.

advertisem*nt

When you approach, he will shout at you and threaten to shoot at you. Kill him to be able to enter the home and collect the unique shotgun simply called the Rare Shotgun. You must pick it up now, or you will not be able to collect it later. One half of the Torn Treasure Map is inside the house inside a drawer.

Torn Treasure Map 2

The Female Hermit is found on the western side of West Elizabeth. Her home is far northwest of Wallace Station. Follow Little Creek River into the mountains and her home is in the woods off to the right.

She will sick her three dogs upon you when you get close to her home. Kill all three of them and the hermit herself so you may safely collect the half of the Torn Treasure Map. The map piece is inside the house inside a drawer.

The two map halves will make the whole treasure map, pictured below.

Torn Treasure Map Treasure Location

Once you collect both halves of the Torn Treasure Map, head down to the town of Armadillo. Northwest of the town along the state line near Rattlesnake Hollow, you will find a small cave entrance.

Inside the cave is Otis Miller’s treasure. Open it up to collect the rare Otis Miller’s Revolver, as well as six "erotic photographs."
